uberAPPS is more than just a store for apps, it helps manage the whole software deployment life cycle, from the logging of end-user requests for new applications, through to approval, purchase and the controlling which users get access to added applications.

We're working with a growing number of software development partners, both large and small, to bring enterprise solutions to uberAPPS. There will be 'uber' versions of some established developer favourites as well as innovative new applications - drawing from the best in Open Source and commercial lines.

uberSVN launched in April 2011, came out of beta in April 2012 and has already helped thousands of developers to start working with Subversion. There's massive potential for growth, given that more and more software houses are moving their SCM work to Subversion. What are the entry requirements for a candidate application?

We don't yet have a fixed set of requirements and this early in the development we don't want to place too many restrictions on prospective partners. If you've got an idea for an app, we're happy to discuss requirements on a case by case basis.

Initially, candidate applications will be manually reviewed, although as uberAPPS grows, we'll be adding an semi-automated then a fully automated submission system.
