Summary:About Subversion's suitability for production environments
Yes, Subversion has been proven in the field. Subversion has been established as a robust and reliable SCM tool. In development since 2000, and self-hosting a year later. By the time Subversion entered "alpha" it was already being used by dozens of private developers. Only after a further two more years of bugfixing and stabilization was Subversion version released at version 1.0. The long initial release cycle was deliberately long, to ensure Subversion was solid from day one. Last edit: mlucas 15th Mar 2010 | |
